This Privacy Policy explains how OLAFORGOD LIMITED (company number 14157073), trading as My Park Shield, collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use the Park Shield mobile application, website and related parking services.

2. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: such as your name, email address and account identifiers.
- Location information: precise or approximate device location when you enable location features, used to identify nearby parking zones, support active parking sessions and provide relevant alerts.
- Parking and transaction information: parking sessions, zones, times, vehicle or booking details, receipts and subscription status.
- Photos, camera and media: images you choose to capture or upload, such as parking signs or evidence connected with a parking session.
- Payment information: payments are processed by authorised payment providers such as Stripe and Google Play. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
- Device and technical information: app version, device type, operating system, diagnostic information and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
- Support communications: information you provide when contacting customer support.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve Park Shield, create and manage accounts, locate and manage parking sessions, process subscriptions and payments, issue receipts, provide customer support, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain security, comply with legal obligations and communicate important service information.
4. Legal bases
Where UK data-protection law applies, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and rely on consent where required, including for device permissions that you can control in your settings.
5. Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Park Shield, including cloud hosting, mapping, authentication, analytics, communications and payment providers. This may include Google Play, Stripe, Supabase, Railway and mapping or parking-service partners. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the public, or as part of a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and analytics on our website
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how people find and use our website: for example, which pages are visited, which campaign link brought someone here and whether an early-access sign-up was completed. Google Analytics only runs if you choose Accept analytics in our cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or don't make a choice, it is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_WC09C5N31D, which last for up to two years, and Google processes information such as the pages you view, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google may process this information outside the United Kingdom (see International transfers below). Our legal basis for this is your consent.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our website pages. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops loading and we remove its cookies from your browser. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage so that we don't ask on every page; this is necessary to respect your choice.
Separately, our own servers record simple website events, such as the page visited, the campaign link used and whether an early-access sign-up was started or completed, so we can tell which pages lead to sign-ups. These events don't use cookies or read anything stored on your device. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website for this.
6. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the service, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and legal obligation.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls and trusted service providers. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can manage camera, photo and location permissions through your device settings. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To request deletion of your Park Shield account and associated personal information, email info@myparkshield.com with the subject “Park Shield account deletion”. We may retain limited information where legally required or necessary to prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
9. Children
Park Shield is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Park Shield, our practices or legal requirements. We will publish the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
